Good morning my most Wonderful World Wide Family. I love you all so much. I am supposed to be studying for my test right now but I just wanted to say hello first. I am taking a break from studying for a minute. I studied today for hours in one of my favorite coffee shops. It was nice watching the couples walking by, many holding hands, celebrating Valentine’s Day. You could feel the Love in the air.
I watched the last minute shoppers scurrying around to purchase their gifts. As for me; small gift cards to my children and grandchildren and special doggie treats for my Chihuahuas. My Valentine’s Day was filled with the love of the Lord like every day of my life. His Love is the best love to me and it is available to everyone all of the time and unconditionally. Life doesn’t get any better than that!
Dear Lord, Thank You for Your pure love that you bestow freely upon all of us, Your children. Thank You for loving us so much that You gave Your Only Son Jesus Christ to die for us so that we can live with You for eternity. Call us unto You Lord so we can experience this intimate personal relationship of love with You every moment of every day.
Please help those who feel that they are unlovable to know that You love them and You never leave us nor forsake us. We can go through life with our heads held high because we are sons and daughters of the King of kings and the Lord of lords, Magistrate of magistrates, the One and Only Great Potentate. Lord let Your people know that no matter what our circumstances may be here on earth, we can still rise above our circumstances and experience real joy in You. Your Holy Spirit leads and guides us.
Please Lord continue to bless our ‘2017’. Please protect all of these, Your people for all of their generations and keep Your angels around them. We ask this in Jesus Precious Name and thank You in advance. Amen.
I was thinking of how my 2017 began this year. I usually like to fast from eating starting on the last week of December and continue for 40 days. I make smoothies and protein drinks, soups, etc. This year I was so sick for a month. It really caught me by surprise. Even though I have almost passed away 4 times related to cancer and complications from surgeries; I never get sick. If I start to get sick I speak God’s healing scriptures and pray and I end up well…Praise God!
This time I did the same; I prayed constantly and spoke God’s all powerful WORD but this time I needed to go to the Doctor and get a “Z-pack” also. (For those who don’t know this is a powerful antibiotic.) The problem was that I was too sick to even drive myself to the Doctor. I had to go to work and I would come home and sleep for 12hrs. If I was off work, I slept 36hrs straight. So I didn’t get my antibiotics for weeks. This was not the way I planned to start my year.
What I think that I learned from this was that this year the LORD wants me to Rest in Him. It was not about me fasting or making other sacrifices this time, this year. (I did fast from watching TV and sweets though.) God says that obedience is better than sacrifice and this year I am focusing on being obedient (or more obedient); especially when it comes to keeping a good attitude, even when people hurt me over and over. I want to be a conduit of God’s Love.
I have also experienced some heartbreaks in family relationships that have caused me a lot of pain. But I focus on God’s WORD that says that He works all things together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.
Any way I just wanted to share these thoughts. Many times we have many lofty ideas about what we are going to do in the New Year and the improvements that we will make and the things that we will give up. This is all very good. Setting goals is awesome. Striving to better ourselves is to be admired God says we should write down the vision and make it clear.
However when there are those times that life doesn’t work out the way “we” planned, we can still find joy and satisfaction in the new circumstances a lot of the time. Even if the circumstance aren’t good we can always Rejoice in the LORD! We can rest assured that God has His Divine plan and purpose for our lives and nothing catches Him off guard. He knew everything that would happen to us before we even arrived here on earth. We all have great purpose and destiny. Trust in the LORD!
I have to go for now. God help me with my test…please! The study of Apologetics is no joke! It is intense. Until we get to talk again, I love you and keep you in my prayers. God bless you always! Jesus loves you.
