Good morning my most Wonderful World Wide Family. Yay! I get to start my morning bright and early talking to you all. I love you. I wish you all a great and blessed day. I was thinking about the topic of Superheroes. There have been a lot of movies and comics created about superheroes both recently and over many years. We are drawn to stories and characters of this caliber.
Dear LORD God Almighty, Maker of Heaven and earth, Jesus Christ of Nazareth and Holy Spirit. We love You. We praise Your Holy Name. We thank You for Your perfect love and faithfulness to us, Your people. We are joyful to start this day with You LORD. We thank You that we are never alone and that You go with us throughout each and every day. You lead us and guide us. You protect us and provide for us. You teach us Your Will and Your Way from Your WORD the Bible. You send Your preachers into all of Your world to teach Your Gospel of the Good News about Jesus Christ and His salvation for all of us. Please bless each one of Your people all over the world wherever they may reside, as well as all of their generations. Please bless also the Superheroes from all walks of life, especially those that are obscure yet valiant. Those that no-one knows about nor hears about; but You know their sacrifices LORD. We thank You in advance LORD. In Jesus Precious Name Amen. Glory to God!
Many of us have had the honor to personally know people who have lived lives devoted to the betterment of mankind. We know of the heroic deeds of our Military, First Responders, Police, and Firemen and women and many other individuals. We hear stories in the news where someone risked their life or even died while heroically saving another, even a stranger. This brings tears to our eyes.
I looked up the word superhero and the definition from google/Wikipedia is this: A superhero is a type of heroic stock character, usually possessing supernatural or superhuman powers, who is dedicated to fighting the evil of his/her universe, protecting the public, and usually battling super-villains. I began wondering why it isn’t more clear to people everywhere that there is One Superhero above all superheroes and of course none could even remotely be compared with Him. Because He has no rival and no equal. His Name is Jesus Christ!
Why is it that so many seem to truly be blind to just exactly Who Jesus Christ is and what He has done for all of mankind that has ever been born since the beginning of creation. (Oh, and by the way, He did that also. He is the One Who ‘created all of creation’. We have never heard of any other superhero who did that!)
Creation was of course just the beginning of what Jesus (the Superhero of all times) did. He Himself was never created, He is eternal, He is the Creator. He did however choose to leave His home in Heaven and come down here to earth to be born as a human baby, the Only Beloved and Begotten Son of God and God Incarnate. He chose to obey His Father God and live the life of a human being Who was tempted in every way that all of us are tempted; yet He never sinned. He performed so many miracles while here on earth that if they were written down, the whole world could not contain all of them.
Jesus healed the blind, even those blind from birth. He healed the paralytics and the lepers. He fed the multitudes of 5000 men, plus women and children, (thought to be a crowd of possibly 20,000.), with 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread, and had basketfuls left over. He took tax money from the mouth of a fish to pay His taxes and those of His disciples. He cast out demons. He saved all of those who would come to Him. He loved the sinners, the outcasts, the poor, the broken, the disenfranchised and marginalized. He alone changed the whole world for all eternity.
But… He loved them too much to leave them in their current condition. He called them unto Himself. He changed their lives, He changed the whole world. He calls us unto Himself. He longs to change our lives and send us out to change this whole world for Christ. Will you do it? The choice is yours. The choice is eternal. Jesus is the True Superhero of all time and eternity and He is calling YOU to follow Him, to be like Him, to love others like He did, to help others like He did, to lead and inspire others like He did, to be your brother’s keeper. To actually be superheroes yourselves in the strength and admonition of the LORD Jesus Christ.
And of course, like no other superhero ever could; Jesus Christ chose to be tortured, crucified on the cross and die a horrendous death for you and me. So that our sins could be forgiven and those of us who choose to follow Him as our LORD and Savior will spend eternity in Heaven with Him! (And with each other. Yay!)
And as only Jesus could do. He raised back to life on the third day. after conquering death, hell and the grave. He resurrected. He walked among His people on earth for 40 days, after dying. He was seen by the multitudes. He talked with them, taught them, and ate with His disciples. Then He told them to go into all the world teaching and preaching to all of the people in all of the nations about His Gospel.
Then Jesus ascended back into Heaven where He sits at the Right Hand of God the Father and He intercedes for us and draws us unto Himself and fills us with His Holy Spirit and His Dunamis Power. Life doesn’t get any better than this! There is no other superhero even remotely as Divine, Valiant, Holy, Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent and worthy to be praised as Jesus Christ of Nazareth! He alone is King of kings, LORD of lords, Magistrate of magistrates, the One and Only Great Potentate!
JOHN 21:25 JESUS DID MANY OTHER THINGS AS WELL. IF EVERY ONE OF THEM WERE WRITTEN DOWN, I SUPPOSE THAT EVEN THE WHOLE WORLD WOULD NOT HAVE ROOM FOR THE BOOKS THAT WOULD BE WRITTEN. (niv)
MARK 16:15 AND HE (JESUS) SAID UNTO THEM, GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD, AND PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE. (kjv)
MATTHEW 18:19-20 GO YE THEREFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS, BAPTIZING THEM IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE HOLY GHOST, (SPIRIT); TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER I HAVE COMMANDED YOU: AND, LO, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, EVEN UNTO THE END OF THE WORLD. AMEN (kjv).
Wow, there are no better words to end this with than those. God bless all of you forever. Jesus loves you!.
